What we believe

Our beliefs

Authority of Scripture+

We believe the Holy Scriptures, is the inspired and infallible Word of God. Its teachings and authority is absolute.

II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21

God the Father+

We believe in one Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient God, in His manifested presence for His glory. He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Deut. 6:4; II Cor. 13:14; Isa. 43:10-11

Jesus Christ+

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is a divine person who has all the attributes of Deity. In His pre-incarnated state, He existed eternally with God and was God and should be worshipped by men and angels. He was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse on the cross in our place.

John 1:1-5; Luke 1:35; Rom. 3:23-25; Acts 10:40-42; I Cor. 15:3-8; Phil. 2:5-11; Acts 2:23-28

Holy Spirit+

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, and is possessed of all the divine attributes of God. The Holy Spirit is God; He convicts the world of sin, regenerates, enlightens, indwells, and seals all believers with the stamp of approval. He guides them into all truth and baptizes them into one Body. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts for service and provides the power to effectively exercise those gifts, to enable us to live the Christ-like life.

Rom. 8:9, 12:1-8; I Cor. 12; Eph. 1:13-14, 4:4-6, 11-13, 5:18; Gal. 5:16-23

Baptism+

We believe that water baptism is necessary for salvation. It symbolizes the burial of the old nature and the resurrection of the new man in Christ.

Rom. 6:3-4, 7; Acts 2:38; Matt. 28:19-20; Eph. 4:5
